About organizer

Gillian: I began my teaching journey in 2014 in New York City as a way of quieting the noise of the fast-paced stressful energy that a Manhattan lifestyle entailed. I loved teaching my students who needed a good sweat, stretch, and a healing mental break from their busy lives; but wanted to skip the serious vibe that some yoga classes call for. My dream was to create a class that gave all the benefits of a classic yoga practice while incorporating the best of pilates and strength training, and ending with aromatherapy, massage, and a relaxing savasana. (You know, everyone’s favorite pose where you lie flat on your back for rest and reflection.)
That’s how Bad Girls Yoga was born. The term “bad” is used to insinuate a rebellion against the idea that yoga can only be done one way and if it’s not, it’s incorrect and not authentic. In easy to understand terms, simple to follow movements and some incredible music, we can make our time together a true escape from everything else in your life. My hope is that everyone who takes a Bad Girls Yoga class leaves feeling peaceful and full of joy because yoga should be joyous!

Victoria: Practicing yoga is about process, not perfection.
Although I have been teaching yoga since 2006, I believe that I will always be first and foremost, a perennial student. Over the last 18+ years, my practice has evolved and continues to evolve. Each time I step on my mat I seem to learn and discover more of the many intricate ways that the mind and body are inextricably linked. As a teacher who focuses primarily on private, personalized instruction, my intention is to serve as a conduit or channel to offer the tools that enable students to experience this process of discovery for oneself.
After completing my first teacher training at New York Yoga in 2006, I started working with a handful of private clients, many of whom I continue to practice with today. Over time I broadened my reach of students and private instruction to incorporate children, expectant moms, families and therapeutics and personal athletic training. Most recently, I have embraced the teachings of Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman of Yoga Shanti, including 300 additional hours of advanced teacher trainings. Currently I teach hot power yoga, sculpt and an array of private/small group classes in Southern Florida and New York.
