About organizer

Based in New York City, Julie has been teaching for over ten years and believes It's wise to be willing to un-know & unlearn what we think we know. To maintain a sense of humor and attempt to understand that how we do one thing is how we do everything. A 500 hour RYT, Julie has been to India multiple times for extended study and her continuing education will never end.

That the physical part of the practice is only a slice of the pie. Julie's less interested in a fancy pose and more interested in how we treat ourselves along the way. She believe's that the practice is linked with life and how we measure ourselves on the mat, is how we measure ourselves in every day life. Most of all, Julie believe's in the power of yoga and its healing abilities to help us see through the muck. It's a daily practice of self-development that helps us connect to an inner strength we already have within and just like treasure, it's not at the surface. It requires some digging.

Introduction

Welcome to The Big Wheel Retreat; an in depth exploration that teaches us the art of learning to live in the skin we are in.

When we start to put our life into the practice on the mat and create understanding around neural patterns & stress held within our fascia, we create an awareness that gives a chance to make better choices as opposed to staying stuck in our habitual cycles. This gives us a chance for ah-ha moments of freedom from the heaviness of the past & worries of the future. And well, that plops us right in the center of possibility; one that shatters the inner glass ceiling and reveals a sense of limitlessness.

Julie teaches Big Wheel Groups every other month of the year online and destination retreats are a way to dive in a little bit more deeply. And what a place to dive into; Amorgos & the The Aegialis!

Join this group for the 2nd year in a row to frolic in impossibly blue water, snorkel, spa, paddle board, yoga your heart out and eat the most divine food as you reveal a deep inner strength that's already there.

This is your yoga; expect individual attention to what your body needs- It's unique and not like anyone else's. Daily menu will include restorative, fascia flow, Iyengar, meditation, qi-gong, breath & energy work.
